If you use Google Adsense as monetizing option for your blog you must know about the Adsense Referrals program besides the AdSense for Content (AFC) and AdSense for Search (AFS). Today i received another love letter but this time is not a good one. This love letter is from Google telling me that starting from last week of August 2008 this AdSense Referral will be removed from Google Adsense Network.
As the alternative Google suggested 2 options to consider :
* Google is starting a CPA basis advertisers program called Google Affiliate Network. In this program publishers will get paid based on advertisers-defined actions instead of clicks or impressions.
* Replacing the referral ad units with a standard AFC ad units
Google will give few weeks to let AdSense users to remove the referral code from their site. If the code is still exist it will no longer display ads beginning the last week of August. Now it’s getting harder to get money from Google. I guess this it’s time to start thinking about another monetizing options.
